Thanksgiving 2010

So yesterday was Thanksgiving Day.

 It was quite the delight. I woke up and watched Twilight...then i found out we were going to my aunts church for our Thanksgiving. So i got ready and we set off. We got to the church at 12:45ish and we were one of the first ones there, so we waited for all the cousins to get there and then we ate. I ate ALOT! Not as much as i could've, but it was still alot! I had mashed potatoes, (the best part!) corn, stuffing, a ton of my grandmas home maid roles, pounds of turkey, jello, pie, gravey, fruit salad, and probably more than even that. I enjoyed it though. After dinner, my cousin Dolores and i went and found chalk and we coloreed on the white boards throughout the church...and yes we earased them after. We walked into a room and there was a wheel chair in it...and yes we took it. We rode around the church doing turns, flips, and a bunch of fun stuff. I learned that *WHEEL CHAIRS ARE DANGEROUS*

. After awhile of playing around the entire family went to my Grandma's house and hung out there. Most of the boys went downstairs and played with the toys and watched movies but me, and my 2 cousins that are around my age stayed upstaris with the adults. Eventually we got bored of their old talk and we started drawing on my black skinny jeans with the chalk...after about 10 minites, my black skeany jeans were white skinny jeans. There was chalk drawings all over my pants. It looked awesome!!! We then read books to our baby girl cousin. It was fun too. Sabrina (one of my cousins) decided we should do eachothers hair, so we did, and we looked crazy. Sabrina gave me and Dolores back rubs and face rubs, and weird other stuff...we had a blast though. Then when people started to leave, us girls asked our parents if we could all sleepover at grandmas...we crossed our fingers!!! But it was a no :( But it was fun anyway. The reason we couldn't sleep over, was because i had to clean my room and bathroom, Sabrina had to clean her room, and Dolores..well Dolores was staying at grandmas anyway. But there is always next time. We said our goodbyes and then we all departed. When i got home i decided to watch a bit of TV, so i did...i turned it on and Taylor Swifts realease was on; So i watched it. It was awesome. I love Taylor! After a while of TV i went to bed and dreamed of how the day went, and how i can look forward to Christmas now. We can put up decorations and our tree, and everything else Christmasty!! Anyway, that was my Thanksgiving. Merry Christmas....almost....

What Storm?

Ok...so the weather man said there was supposed to be ahuge snow storm last night here is Utah...well where is it? It was supposed to be the biggest one in 10 whole years!

 My mom went to the store on Tuesday, and the entire parking lot was packed because people were freaked out about the storm. They were thinking that they were gonna be stuck in their houses. People were evn shopping for Thanksgiving stuff, because they were worried they would be 'snowed in' over Thanksgiving!...Again...what storm?

My sister Megan went to Valley View Elementry with her friend to visit her friends mom who is the secratary, and she said that there were parents calling the school asking if they should come get their kids so they don't get snowed into the school or stuck in the school. Again...what storm?

This was supposed to be the biggest snow storm in 10 whole years...Again...what storm? I understand it is cold and a bit windy, but seriously...not any snow storm. WOW is all i can say! Honestly, i was excited for the storm...for a real snow day, for the snow, for the freaked out people, for 4 wheel drive to come on...but again...what strom? The fact is, there was no storm...not even a little...just cold weather :( All well, there is always tomorrow...

iM GRATEFUL FOR BLANKETS AND JACKETS, AND THE HEATER AND EVERYTHiNG THAT KEEPS US WARM!!! i AM ALSO THANKFUL THAT WE DON'T HAVE THiS...

Maeser Prep Academy

This is the Maeser logo. GO LIONS!!!!

I go to Maeser Prepatory Academy. This is Karl G. Maeser (The guy that made the school back in the day.) He is an awesome example, and was a very smart man. Our school is named after him.

Today was the very 1st day of the new school building. It is a gorgious building. It looks just like the state capitol building; inside and out! It is so pretty and a great high school! This is it except ours doesn't have grass. (We will get the grass in a few months)  This is a sketch so the real one is obviously bigger than this, but this is pretty much it. It is located above the Home Depot in Lindon Utah. It is a great school, especially coming from the old bowling alley (where our school was located before this; in Lindon) The old bowling alley will be missed, but we love the new school! 

This next picture is of it being built. The entire school was built in 6 months!!! Amazingly fast! We appriciate the hard workers that helped it get finished so soon. Its great!

The uniform policy will be inforced ut it is a good thing. Uniforms are great for many reasons, and i personally love them!!! Here are some pictures of the uniforms.

HIGH SCHOOL:

THE BLAZER:

Everyone...girls and boys have to wear the blazer. At the high school.

THE POLOS:

The high schoolers get the red and white polos. They also need to have the logo on them.

TIES:

High school girls tie:

MIDDLE SCHOOL:

The polos all have to have the logo on them. Same logo as the high school. The middle schoolers wear the light blue and gold colored polos.

SWEATERS:

Jr. High students can wear this vest, but it has to be red, and it has to have the logo.

All boys wear the same tie. High school and middle school.

Over all Maeser is an amazing school, and i highly encourage people to come.! Its awesome, and LIONS RULE!!!
